The Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017 (S. 305), sponsored by Sen. Pat Toomey and signed into law by President Donald Trump on March 28, 2017, officially designated March 29 as National Vietnam War Veterans Day by amending 4 U.S.C. § 6 to encourage U.S. flag display on that date.
